The first clinically proven sleepwear BlueCare, uses a specially woven micro-fibre, Exalon^TM, developed originally for burns treatment units.

Our sleep suits help eczema sufferers break the 'itch-scratch' cycle and get a better nights sleep. This micro-fibre fabric provides eczema patients maximum comfort and helps in the healing process as you scratch less.

Allerayde in association with a specialised Swiss textile producer, realised that the unique properties of this micro-fibre would be hightly beneficial for sufferers of eczema, psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions and so designed and developed the BlueCare range of house/sleep-suits for all age groups.

For many years textiles made from cotton, have been regarded as particularly beneficial for patients with eczema. This idea was based on belief, not clinical studies. The effectiveness of the BlueCare suits, compared to cotton, was measured in a multi-centre study in four leading clinics in Germany. Patients were selected with moderate to severe eczema (patients were on immuno-suppressants or orat steroids). All patients in the BlueCare suits had their treatment withdrawn (except for moisturisers and emollients), whereas the cotton group had treatment maintained.

Within seven days the BlueCare suits exhibited far superior properties to cotton, including

• reduction in symptoms,
• frequency of waking,
• itching and sleeplessness
• and improvement in sleep comfort.
