Allerayde Honeywell Air Filter to reduce airborne allergens

There could be as many as 2000 airborne pollutants in your home right now, ranging from house dust mite and pet allergens to mould, pollen and viruses. These same pollutants cause more than 70% of asthmatic and allergic reactions. An efficient air cleaning system can significantly ease the symptoms especially in homes with pets.

Tests conducted at the UK’s North West Lung Centre in a pilot study proved the effectiveness of HEPA filtration in airborne allergen removal to reduce airborne contamination.The results were published as an abstract in the American Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology when a Honeywell air cleaner significantly reduced airborne Can f1 (dog allergen) and is therefore capable of reducing allergen exposure of sensitised patients with dogs. Excellent results were also recorded when measuring the unit’s ability to remove cat allergen Fel d1 (See Dog Allergen Graph).

We offer two sizes of air filters: Allerayde Honeywell DA30 (wt 4.7kgs) is for average size bedrooms up to 30sq.m. For larger spaces we offer Allerayde Honeywell DA40 (wt 5.7kgs) up to 40sq.m.

Technical Data of HEPA
HEPA is the world’s most efficient material for removing sub-micron size particles from the air. It is at least 99.97% efficient in the removal of 0.3 micron size particles which are the greatest threat to the body’s respiratory system. The HEPA filter is even more efficient at capturing larger particles such as pet allergens, dust mite droppings and pollen, the three most common triggers of asthmatic and allergic reactions. Under normal conditions the HEPA filter lasts from 1- 5 years.
